Our company was formed in 1961 as Felknor Real Estate and Auction Company by Mr. R.T. Felknor. We are the oldest real estate company in Jefferson County having been in business for over 45 years.

During these more than four decades, this area has seen many changes. Our company has changed with the times as well. What began as a small real estate and auction business has become a large scale real estate and development organization. However, our focus really hasn't changed. We are still a family driven company that strives to meet the needs of our clients without the high pressure. Jack Glenn and Gerald Suttles, who took over the company from Mr. Felknor in 1978, are now passing the business over to their children, Sean Glenn and Lisa Suttles McMahan.  Lance Cowan is also a valued asset having been with us since 1991.  Joel Jones came to work with us in 2003 and has been an excellent addition to the company.  Most recently, Diane Farr, Melissa Lamotte and Jim Wilson have joined our team.  Together, we have a combined total of over 150 years experience in the real estate industry!

Felknor Real Estate has been the catalyst behind such developments as Dandridge Golf and Country Club, Terry Point Estates, Patriot Hills Golf Club, Scenic Shores, Wild Goose Cove and countless others.  We are currently planning other projects.

After Mr. Felknor's death, the decision was made to change the name to Lakeway Real Estate Company. And in 2007, we partnered with ERA to give us access to the latest tools and resources of the real estate indusrty.  But, we are still the same family driven company with the same experience and a heart to meet our customer's needs.  So, if you are looking for property in beautiful Jefferson County or anywhere in the Lakeway area, come see us.
